Hi,
Yes, I know...it's been awhile. I cannot tell you if this will be the last ever ConlinSense or the beginning of many more frequent posts. But here is the thing. Bob Saget died Sunday and by all accounts he was simply a terrific person. I have no connection to Bob Saget. I can say I probably watched a total of eight minutes of his work but I still knew his name.
Yesterday Jimmy Kimmel posted this really heartfelt, wonderful and loving tribute to Bob and it hit me harder than I imagined. So much so that when I was showering today (as I do occasionally) I used my shaving cream for my shampoo and started to shave with my shampoo...true.
I think what hit me was how people who knew Bob Saget found him to be so very genuine and NICE. He cared about others. In a world where people more and more gravitate towards caring only about themselves it seems we need more people like Bob Saget. In his absence we will all need to take up the slack.
Please take a look and I hope it motivates you to be a better person...even if you think that isn't possible.
Jay
